Our Mission
The Museum of the Cherokee in South Carolina provides a preserve for a deeper and more meaningful understanding of the Cherokee heritage of South Carolina. We gather and provide a repository for artifacts and historical information relating to the inhabitants, formation and development of the Cherokee in South Carolina and provide a facility for continuing educational opportunities for students, county residents, and visitors to Oconee County.
